Donna Ferreira's Updates for MaAOHN including upcoming Elections

Dear MaAOHN members:

Our Massachusetts Association of Occupational Health Nurses organization currently has a health membership of 348.  I’m writing to thank each of you for your hard work in the important craft of worker health, public safety, and support of your colleagues and to keep you informed about the MaAOHN events.

• Elections Announcement: The MaAOHN Nominating Committee would like to remind all MaAOHN members that elections for the 2025 – 2026 Board of Directors are here! Please engage in your organization by volunteering to participate on the Board of Directors.
• Positions are for two (2) years from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2026. Any active or retired member of MaAOHN is eligible to run for office. Please complete your nomination forms as soon as possible but no later than SOctober 15, 2024.

     Nominees are needed for the following open positions:

• President
• Vice President
• Directors to represent Central, MA and Western, MA
• One Nominating Committee Member

Joining the MaAOHN board is a great way to learn leadership skills, build your resume and have fun!!!!

No experience necessary - we are welcoming and happy to mentor you! We look forward to new ideas for the coming year!

• MaAOHN Annual Meeting will be held at the Friday lunch at the NECOEM/MaAOHN Conference at the Westford Regency Hotel! Elected candidates will be sworn in, organizational update presented, awards shall be given, and lunch.

               3/25 – 26/24 Worker’s Compensation Workshop Dr. Tannoury’s Conference Waltham

(MaAOHN raffle and table, multiple members as speakers, Nancy Clover received the Golden Rose Award!)

3/38/24 Sub Committee Meetings re: Letter of Agreement for NECOEM Conference revenues

4/2/24 Night at the Museum Tour, Cont. Ed Program Occ Health Trivia by D. Ferreira NP

6/18/28 Committee Meetings re: Letter of Agreement for NECOEM Conference revenues

               6/21/24 Email Vote on Letter of Agreement, then proposed letter submitted to NECOEM

               7/23/24 Letter of Agreement Discussion Meeting with NECOEM (P. Tayler, K. Leehan, D. Ferreira)

7/31/24 Board of Director Meeting 8 pm – 9:30 pm which included final draft of Letter of Agreement which was submitted and verbally accepted by NECOEM
