Occupational Health Nurses' Week
Posted over 2 years ago by Donna Ferreira
Happy Occupational Health Nurses' Week April 9 -15. This is a time to take a moment to recognize your impact on workers' lives. You may have prevented an infection with a careful dressing change on a wound. You may have planted a seed in someone's mind to think about stopping smoking, or to lose 10 pounds, or to start a routine of walking at lunch. Perhaps you have saved a life with a referral to an ER for belly pain that resulted in an appendectomy or provided basic life support until an ambulance arrived for an employee with a sudden cardiac arrest! Take a moment to reflect on your impact. Be proud of your accomplishments, big and small.
The Massachusetts Association of Occupational Health Nurses recognizes our membership for the amazing and positive impact they have on the health of workers across the state. We are strong and growing as a organization. We have had seventeen new members join in the past two weeks. We have an exciting year ahead and much to look forward to. Most of all, your Board wants to support you, recognize you, and give back to you!
All the best,
Donna Ferreira ANP, MS, COHN-S/CM, FAAOHN
President, MaAOHN
