Requirements: · Knowledge of substance use issues and significant mental health concerns with adolescents and adults. · Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff and families. · Intensive attention and concentration skills. · Sensitivity to cultural issues of patients served by the program. · Ability to facilitate group communication between levels of service · Minimum of five years experience in treatment of SUD patients, including patients who struggle with other co-occuring disorders. · Minimum of two years in providing supervisory experience to Clinicians required. · Masters Degree or higher in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field. · Any licensed discipline (PhD/PsyD, LICSW or LMHC) In collaboration with the Substance Use Disorder Medical Director, the SUD Coordinator provides guidance regarding the development and treatment of substance use disorders in patients at MGB Salem Hospital. Primary focus will be on the development of substance use disorder treatment in the outpatient setting, including the intensive outpatient program. Additional responsibilities would include guidance to address substance use disorders on all medical and psychiatric inpatient levels of care and in the emergency department. The SUD Coordinator participates in hospital-wide, community-based and MGB SUD task forces. Mass General Brigham Psychiatry service includes 120 inpatient beds, child and adult PHPs, Neurodevelopment, IOP, and three very busy outpatient clinics. There is an extensive and full psychiatric service covering all levels of psychiatric care. MGB-Salem Hospital is a member of the Mass General Brigham network that includes MGH, Brigham & Women’s, McLean, and other MGB institutions. Hiring Bonus available to eligible candidates!
