- Associate degree in Nursing required, BSN strongly preferred - Massachusetts RN License - A minimum of one year RN experience required. - Two to three years RN experience strongly preferred. - No New Grads will be considered for this position Be a part of MGH’s dedicated team and make a difference in our patients’ lives. White 9 is a 25-bed acute care medical unit with telemetry beds. Our diverse RN team provides complex, holistic and compassionate care to patients with a wide variety of acute medical illnesses and chronic diseases. Strong teamwork environment, supportive nursing leadership and daily collaboration with other disciplines to deliver the highest level of quality patient care. - Patients admitted to this unit have multi-system complexities including alterations in gas exchange, airway clearance, cardiac function, renal function, nutrition, hepatic function, and mental states and often transfer from the Medical IC U. - Frequent physical assessment is essential to patient care with the use of EKGs, cardiac monitors, and oxygen saturation devices as aids to assessment. - Opportunities for growth and development, Unit-based master’s prepared Clinical Nursing Practice Specialist (educator) to provide clinical support and teaching This is a 36 hours per week on a day/night rotation including weekends and holidays required Competitive salary and great benefits! - Medical, Dental and Vision insurance - Tuition Reimbursement - Generous paid time off - Subsidized MBTA pass (50% discount) - Resources for childcare and emergency backup care - Hospital paid retirement plan and tax-sheltered annuity plan - Employee “Perks” - enjoy discounts on tickets and passes for everything from ski resorts to museums to sporting events.
