Occupational and Environmental Health Network, P.C.  - "OEHN"

OEHN is an occupational and environmental medicine consulting company based in Marlborough, MA.  We provide occupational health solutions, including remote and onsite services of occupational health physicians, nurses, and other professionals for a variety of clients including research and higher education institutions, biotech firms, hospitals, corporations, government and manufactuers.

Position:  Occupational Health Nurse

Seeking an experienced nurse to work onsite at our client, a biotech company with offices in Boston's Longwood area.  The core responsibility entails managing the medical surveillance program in concert with onsite safety department and clinical staff of the NJ regional office.  Nurse will also be supported locally for clnical issues by OEHN physician Medical Director.  Nurse will provide respirator clearance, triage and some treatment of work and non-work related injuiries and illness,  in accordance with scope of practice.  He/she will also write and maintain incident reports, provide case management and work closely with safety department on prevention and wellness programs. 

Schedule:  Part-time position- 8 hours per week  :  Monday, Tuesday or Wed - 8:30 - 5

Requirements:  Must possess current, valid Massachusetts nursing license, BSN preferred; Prefer at least 3 years in occupational health clinic or corporate onsite setting. 

Candidate must have strong clinical judgement and assessment skills, knowledge of medical surveillance screening and OSHA regulations; He/She must be an effective communicator, iwith the ability to persuade and motivate employees to participate in self-care and wellness and prevention measures.  Computer proficiency is a must as there is a signficant administrative responsiblity, including entering and retrieving information from the electronic medical recordkeeping system.
