Position Description

Registered Nurse (RN) | Boston, MA

Schedule: Mon–Fri 8–5 (one 12–8 shift weekly, not Fridays)

Type: Contract

Overview

Community health center seeking an RN to provide patient care, education, and case management across all age groups. Mission-driven, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide age-appropriate nursing care from neonatal to geriatric.
  • Support addiction recovery program and chronic disease management.
  • Run nursing visits (BP checks, immunizations, PPDs, wound checks, education, etc.).
  • Triage patient calls and coordinate follow-up.
  • Update histories, perform assessments, and administer meds/vaccines under provider orders.
  • Communicate with labs, providers, specialists, and internal teams.
  • Manage abnormal labs follow-up.
  • Complete patient forms (school, camp, WIC).
  • Maintain confidentiality and supplies.
  • Oversee state-supplied vaccine storage, ordering, and reporting.
  • Assist with other nursing coverage as needed.
  • Ensure required public health disease reporting.
