We will be celebrating Public Health Week with light refreshments, tours of the Public Health Museum, and an educational presentation.

The answer is: The Platinum Patient Experience

 

MaAOHN President, Donna Ferreira MS, ANP, COHN-S/CM, FAAOHN will present the tips and tricks to providing a "Platinum experience" to your patients/customer/clients. 

The Platinum experience is professional, friendly, engaging, authentic, and one that the patient feels heard and well cared for.

 

Key components of an outstanding experience for the patient/client starts at the scheduling process through engaging the client in their own self care.

 

Objectives:

Upon completion of this presentation, audience members shall be able to:

  • Define the Platinum Patient Experience
  • List 3 key components that influence patient satisfaction
  • Identify 2 common mistakes clinicians make during patient encounters

The venue is the Public Health Museum, a fascinating museum.  Make sure you take a tour.

Public Health Museum 

The Museum is housed in the Old Administration Building of Tewksbury Hospital.  Tewksbury Hospital was established in 1854 as a state almshouse to care for the poor which included a growing number of immigrants.

Directions & Parking 

The museum is located in the Old Administration Building of Tewksbury Hospital, at 365 East Street in Tewksbury, MA


From Route 93: Take Dascomb Road exit West toward Tewksbury. Dascomb Road becomes East Street.  Just past the intersection of Livingston Street and East Street, you will see the hospital on your left.  Take the first driveway on your left onto the hospital grounds. 

 
From Route 495: Exit 38 south to Tewksbury. On Route 38S, follow signs to the hospital and museum just beyond the police station at the Town Green.  Turn left at the set of lights in the town center onto East Street.  Approximately 1 mile down East Street on your right you will see the Old Administration Building on your right.  Pass this building and take your next right onto the hospital grounds. 

 

Park in the first or second parking lot you will see to the right.  The Museum is housed in the building just beyond the Chapel.

Giving Back: 

Our charitable donation will be donations for Bread an Roses, a soup kitchen in Lawrence, MA.

We will be collecting white socks, travel/hotel size shampoos, conditioners, soap, tooth paste & tooth brushes, cereal and paper towels.

 

MASK DONATIONS:

The Public Health Museum has been considering how best to commemorate the COVID-19 Pandemic experience. 

We'd like to collect clean masks and create a display. 

If you have a clean mask with a particular logo or message you have acquired and would like it to be part of an exhibit commemorating the pandemic, then please send it to the museum with a note of its significance.
